There's a quote I love- 'Most people have no idea how good their body is designed to feel' - it just sums up perfectly how a lot of people allow themselves to feel less than 100% when they don't need to.

A common complaints I hear from people is that they feel tired and flat a lot of the time. It's so easy to let it happen to us in our modern world of fast food, stress, Netflix and all the rest - but it doesn't have to be that way.

If you're energy is flagging , it's important to start with blood tests to determine no serious pathology. Testing is then crucial to determine possible nutritional deficiencies such as low iron, B12, vitamin D, thyroid or hormone imbalance. If there is a nutritional deficiency, we then need to determine the cause, be it low intake, poor gut absorption or possible loss through bleeds.

If nothing shows up on blood work as is often the case, then it's time to work harder! Feeling flat is generally linked to lifestyle so we will need to assess yours. We need to ensure you're getting all your nutrients, but more importantly, that you're absorbing them all through your gut. Exercise is a must! Our bodies will only produce as much energy as our day demands. Mindfulness and relaxation techniques are also excellent tools for helping deal with stress that may be exacerbating your situation.

Once back on track, you won't believe how much better you feel!
