There are so many gimmicky detox products on the market promising the world and sadly, I think they misrepresent what a detox is all about.

Our body is wonderfully designed to clean and rid itself of toxic compounds when the internal conditions are right. However, these days we are exposed to so many chemicals and pollutants in our environment which have made it to market on their individual merits. When that one compound is mixed with others, we create toxic bombs which can do serious damage to our bodies and cells.

Whilst we can limit exposure in our homes with the personal and cleaning products we use, as well as choosing to eat organic foods, we can’t often influence what we’re exposed to in our outside environment.

It is therefore so important to give our bodies a spring clean every now and then to assist with the removal of compounds our body has packaged away in our tissues. Through the use of herbal and nutritional medicine we can support the major organs of elimination to offload chemical compounds dangerous to our bodies.

A great detox is not a radical detox. It encompasses great food, gentle exercise, individually selected herbal medicine and yes, no booze! What’s left is a system that functions so much better. My clients often find their energy is better, they feel less sluggish, they have better clarity and moods and often shift weigh during the program.

The length of a detox can vary, but I often start with a good 3-4 week plan to get you feeling great.
